So the top team from each group after this round has progressed into the semifinals of the first UEFA Nations League while the bottom team is relegated into League B for next season. The top teams from League B are promoted to League A, and this is the same down to League D.
Netherlands, Switzerland, Portugal, and England have finished top of their groups after playing out their group games against the two opponents. They will meet in the semifinals after a draw occurs to determine who plays who.
The big surprise of this initial season of League A was definitely Germany getting relegated into League B. While they might not have been favorites with World Champion France in their group, many would have picked them to finish ahead of the Netherlands.
In group 2, Switzerland came from behind against Belgium in the final game to win 5-2 and finish top of the group.
Portugal finished unbeaten in Group 4 and finished top fairly convincingly. England finished top of Group 4 with a strong last week against Croatia with a come from behind victory and a goal in the last 10 minutes to secure their place in the semifinals.
